About Me

Hi there! My name is Savannah Fisher, and I have been teaching at Pelham Ridge Elementary School since the Fall of 2018. I believe an effective teacher is passionate about learning, and enjoys creating meaningful experiences for their students. I strive to empower each learner, as I seek to know more about their interests, strengths, and weaknesses. Prior to teaching fifth grade, I have four years of teaching experience in first grade and one year in third grade.

My husband and I are both Pelham alumni and enjoy living in the community. Our hobbies include traveling, trying new food, spending time with our cat (Shadow), and all things music. Thomas plays the trombone in a few brass bands throughout the state, and I work with The University of Alabama's Million Dollar Band.

Education/Career
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a certificate in Early Childhood Education in May of 2018 from The University of Alabama. In May of 2024, I graduated from UA with my Master's Degree in Elementary Education with specializations in Math, Science, and Social Studies. Currently, I am pursuing my National Board Certification in Early Adolescence Social Studies.
