Hi there! My name is Savannah Fisher, and this is my fourth year teaching first grade at Pelham Ridge Elementary School. I feel incredibly blessed to teach the children of my hometown, and support them in as many ways inside and outside of the classroom as I can. I believe the key to successful learning is building a bridge between school and home. I prioritize parent communication, and want to help your child continue their learning outside of the classroom, and into the "real world" with activities and practices for application. First grade is such a FUN year, and there is SO much your child will learn in our classroom!

A little bit about me... I grew up attending Pelham schools, starting in 2001, and graduated from Pelham High School with the class of 2014. I then went on to study at The University of Alabama, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a certificate in Early Childhood Education in May of 2018. During my time at UA, I was also a member of The Million Dollar Band Color Guard and Alta Marea Winterguard. ROLL TIDE!! I recently married my high school sweetheart, Thomas, who I met through the band program at Riverchase Middle School (now Pelham Park Middle). We have several fish, and a sweet black cat named Shadow. We enjoy watching sports (our favorites are football and hockey), cooking together, traveling, and exploring music. I am also the choreographer and instructor of both the Pelham High School and Pelham Park Middle School Color Guard programs, so if you ever come to a high school football game, you can find me with the marching band!

I love attending local community events, and supporting my students in their extracurricular activities... so please let me know when they have a baseball game, church choir program, dance recital, etc.! If you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please contact me by sending a note or an e-mail.
